Just your average twenty-something trying to make her way in the world and writing about it in the process. Hi, I’m April. Nice to meet you. I am a resident of Memphis, Tennessee, and I have lived here for most of my life since coming to the United States. I was born in the Philippines, and yes, I am a Navy Brat.

In the here-and-now, I work as an assistant manager in the retail industry. It’s got its perks and it gets the bills paid, but I plan on attending the University of Memphis when my financial situation allows for it so that I won’t be stuck in retail for the rest of my life. No worries at all. I’m still young and having my fun.

When I’m not at work and not geeking it up with this domain, I’m constantly on the prowl looking for ways to keep myself out of trouble. I tend to stay pretty low-key, and while I’m not opposed to an occasional night out with friends and alcohol present, I prefer to keep it simple and spend my time reading, drawing, playing piano (or at least attempting to), messing around with an occasional video game (Metal Gear Solid 4 is my current gaming obsession), or just doing whatever I feel like I wanna do.
